A series of astronomical props for use with Poser software. They allow you to quickly add real 3D planet-style objects directly inside Poser to give your scenes some extra dimension! This product has been optimized for low system requirements in order to keep rendering times to a minimum. The "Core Edition" will provide you with the most common objects needed to add planets, moons and asteroids into your scenes. A large selection of additional seamless textures are provided but watch out for future releases of "Expansion Packs" that will offer higher resolution surface maps and other related prop add-ons. Prop Descriptions Planet : A single-layer spherical prop with sample texture map. LayerPlanet : A dual-layer spherical prop which uses separate texture maps for the land surface and clouds. Please note that for best results you should turn OFF shadows in the Poser render settings when using this particular prop, otherwise it will render black. RingedPlanet : A single-layer spherical prop complete with outer ring element. The sphere and ring use separate texture maps. Moon : A single-layer spherical prop with sample texture map. Asteroid : A single-layer morphing prop which can change it's shape to create a variety of different asteriod style objects. StarBackdrop : A basic flat background plane which is texture mapped with a starfield image. Ideal if you just need a quick backdrop behind your planet scene. 250 Surface Maps : You can use these 600 x 600 pixel spherical texture maps with any of the planet, moon or asteriod props. Just load the required image from the material dialog in Poser. 125 Cloud Maps : These provide you with variations for the cloud layer in the LayerPlanet prop. Again you need to load these manually through the Poser material settings dialog. Feature Overview
Freeware Add-Ons
System Requirements PC : Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP, Poser 4, 5 or 6. Also compatible with DAZStudio. Mac : Although these props were created on the PC it should still be possible to use them with the Mac version of Poser, but you must first convert the files using the free Poser Maconverter utility which can be downloaded from the Soft-Rabbit website. Installation Download the zip file
and
uncompress all the files to your Poser "Runtime" folder,
remembering to retain the original subfolder structure. Please refer to the instructions
provided by the host program for more specific instructions on how
to install and use prop files. |
